This policy explains how RIS Works ("we", "us") handles information in the RENMA Android app ("the app").
1. Information the app handles
You can use the app without an account. The following information you enter is stored on your device:
Workout records (exercises, weights, reps, notes, and so on)
Routines, goals, and gym and machine information
Bodyweight records
Photos you add
App settings
The app doesn't send these records to us or to any third party unless you choose to do so. Except for what you share yourself, we don't access the records stored in the app. The app doesn't show ads, run usage analytics, or track you.
2. Device features
The app uses device features only as needed for its functions, such as notifications and vibration for the rest timer, and NFC tags for starting routines. It reads only photos you take with a camera app or choose yourself, and imports only files you choose. It doesn't ask for access to your location, contacts, or microphone.
3. Exporting and sharing
Backup, export, and sharing features let you save or send your records and photos outside your device. These features run only when you use them, and you choose where files go (for example, cloud storage, another app, or an AI service). What happens after that is governed by that service's own terms and policies.
Please note:
The AI export (AI/Bridge Export Pack) includes your entire workout history and related settings information, in addition to the items you select for export.
Photos may contain information such as where they were taken, and may show your body.
Exported files aren't encrypted. Choose carefully where you save or share them.
4. NFC tags
When you write a routine to an NFC tag, the tag stores an identifier used to open that routine. Workout records and values aren't written to the tag. Anyone with an NFC-capable device can read the tag. Deleting the app doesn't erase the tag, so overwrite or dispose of tags you no longer need.
5. Retention and deletion
Information on your device stays until you delete it. You can delete individual records and photos in the app. Deleting a workout doesn't delete photos added to it; delete those photos separately.
To erase all data the app has stored on this device at once, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app.
The app can't delete files saved or shared outside it (such as backups, exported files, or copies given to other services) or the contents of NFC tags. Manage or delete them where they are stored.
To keep your data when changing devices or reinstalling, use the app's backup feature.
6. Security
The app's data is kept in Android's protected per-app storage. Please protect your device, for example with a screen lock.
7. Google Play
The app is distributed through Google Play. Through Google Play, we may see statistics compiled by Google, such as install counts and crash data. This information is handled under Google's privacy policy, and we use it only to improve the app.
8. Information we receive when you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name (if you include it), and the contents of your message. We use this to respond to you and to improve the app. Service providers may handle it to the extent needed to send, receive, and store email. Otherwise, we don't provide it to third parties except as required by law. We keep inquiry information only as long as reasonably necessary to handle your inquiry and for related purposes, and delete it once it's no longer needed.
Please don't send workout record files or photos unless we ask for them. If we receive them, we'll delete them once your inquiry is resolved.
If you are a minor, please get a parent's or guardian's consent before contacting us.
9. Requests regarding your personal information
If you ask us to notify you of the purposes of use of, disclose, correct, delete, or stop using personal information we hold from your inquiries, we'll respond in accordance with applicable law after confirming your identity. Our address and any other information that the law requires us to make available will be provided without delay upon request.
10. Changes to this policy
If new features or other changes affect how information is handled, we'll update this policy and post it on this page. Where appropriate, we'll also let you know in the app.
11. Language
This policy is available in Japanese and English. If the two versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.
